Sober Companion
Recovery Allies provides sober companioning services to families and individuals who may be concerned for their sobriety outside of the controlled environment of a treatment center. This can include vacations, business trips, family gatherings and any other occasion that may necessitate the need for increased accountability and support. A sober companion will typically (but not always) remain with the person of concern for the entirety of their service dates. It is sometimes necessary for those just out of treatment to have a sober companion live with them for a time until they have safely re-acclimated to life outside of treatment.
Who Should Use This Service?
Families or individuals seeking increased support and accountability for a friend or loved one who is soon to leave or just out of treatment.
Families or individuals seeking increased monitoring, support, and accountability for a friend or loved one who must temporarily leave treatment for an occasion (business trip, funeral, vacation, etc.)
How Does it Work?
Sober companion, once contracted, meets person of concern at a prearranged time.
Sober companion assists person of concern with getting settled and acclimated to their new environment, providing 24/7 in-person support.
Sober companion checks in with supervision staff daily.
We establish a customized plan for care for every client.
If leaving treatment, sober companion can (and most often does) live with person of concern until POC’s re-acclimation has been successfully confirmed.
